“My son was very skeptical at first, and he definitely viewed the idea of ‘tutoring’ sessions as some kind of punishment, despite my best efforts to the contrary. However, after his first session with Joshua Barnett (and after I stepped out of the room, which was *key*), he really enjoyed it! When they finished, Max came into the kitchen and said, ‘Wow. Maybe I actually want to be a writer.’ He and Josh are evolving a creative writing project in screenplay format, with a focus on setting and dialogue. He knows how to help you expand and bend your thought wide open beyond what you wrote.
